Goalpost is simple and fun, no need to learn complex rules. Playing is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
In each players turn, the table will display three cards: two cards face up on either side, with one card face down in the middle.
Players take turns placing bets on whether the middle card, once revealed, will be in between the values of the two face-up cards.
After a player places a wager (or skips their turn), the middle card is revealed on the table.
If it falls within the goalposts, those who bet correctly win their wager; if not, they lose their play and the amount wagered is added to the pot.

The goal is to be the player with the most wins at the end of the game.
The ante is a mandatory entry fee that every player contributes at the start of each round. It helps build the initial pot, ensuring thereβs always something to play for.
Each round starts with a random player being selected by the game to initiate the play. This player makes the first move, and the game proceeds from there. To keep things fair and exciting, the initial player for each new game is always chosen randomly, ensuring that everyone gets a turn to start and making every round unpredictable and fresh.
Randomness when drawing cards from the deck implemented using Switchboard.xyz VRF.
Since it's an online game, the shuffling is fully automated. At the start of each player's turn, the entire deck of 52 cards is shuffled by the gameβs algorithm to ensure complete randomness. Once shuffled, 3 cards are automatically dealt and placed in the middle of the screen, 2 facing up and one facing down.
When itβs a playerβs turn, they can place a wager up to the full amount in the pot, or any portion of it, with a minimum required bet. After the player places their wager, the system draws the card in the middle, revealing the result of the play.
If the third card ranks between the two face-up cards, the player wins and takes back their wager, plus an equivalent amount from the pot. If the third card falls outside the range or matches the rank of either face-up card, the player loses their wager, which gets added to the pot.
Goalpost is a game of chance, and sometimes the odds might not be in your favor. If youβre not feeling confident about the outcome, you donβt have to risk it β you can choose to skip your turn and avoid placing a bet. Itβs all about knowing when to go big and when to hold back!
Once the playerβs turn is complete, the system clears the cards and the next player places their play. The game continues this way until all players have taken their turns or the pot is cleared. If at any point the pot is emptied because a player has won by betting the entire pot, each player can contribute again to rebuild the pot, ensuring the game continues smoothly.
